Paula Calvanico’s Italian eatery is a family affair. After two months in business in the Highland Village Center, home of Albertsons, she says everything is bellíssimo. “It’s been a wonderful experience,” she told the Highland Community News last week.
The Highland Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, to celebrate the new business. The event will last from 1 to 3 p.m. Chamber members will get a free cannoli with their entrées. The restaurant opened in April. Most of her six children are helping with the restaurant, which seats 32 — or a little more on special occasions. She recently hosted a graduation party and is getting ready for a bridal shower.
