Columbia Middle School students participated in a Pinocchio Workshop earlier this month given by Italian Director Vittorio Capotorto of Teatromania in New York City. Capotorto, who is the Creator of the Italian Theater Practicum at Columbia University, led the workshop along with his wife Maureen.
Students in Theresa DiMartino's Italian classes participated in the two-hour workshop over a span of three days. Capotorto discussed theater methodology and directed the students as they acted out his newly written "Pinocchio in Manhattan" script.
