This month on Italics Dean Anthony Tamburri speaks with Berardo Paradiso and Ilaria Costa, president and executive director, respectively, of the Italian American Committee on Education (IACE). IACE is a New York-based nonprofit organization founded in 1975 by Angelo Gimondo to promote the study of the Italian language and culture within the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

IACE is financed through a grant from the Italian government and operates under the supervision of the Consulate General of Italy in New York. In addition to its tens of thousands of students it serves, IACE also offers language courses for adults. IACE is the official Italian-language center in New York, offering the only classes in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute, under the supervision of the Consulate General of Italy.
