Toss 1 million fava beans to New Orleans parade lovers, serve a half-ton of Pasta con Sardi, dance the Tarantella and pretend that Louis Prima is judging your Bourbon Street style. That's how the Italian American Marching Club will honor St. Joseph in 2015.
Now in its 45th year of marching, this happy band of 500 New Orleans Italian-Americans adds it own special spice to the local parade culture, which doesn't stop after Mardi Gras. The annual procession rolls through the French Quarter March 14, 6 p.m.
