Tickets for the Second annual Columbus Day Hall of Fame dinner are on sale. The dinner will held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center, 210 N. Santa Fe Ave. Cost of the tickets is $35. They may be ordered by calling 719-671-0205. This year's inductees include: The Knights of Columbus Organization; the late Hector Chiariglione, the late Rev. Ben Bacino, John Panepinto and Louie D. Carleo.

The Knights of Columbus are being recognized for the organization's years of contributions to the local community and the Pueblo area Catholic community. Chiariglione organized and was the key fundraiser for the creation of the local Christopher Columbus monument in front of the Rawlings Library on Abriendo Aveenue. Thanks to Chiariglione's efforts, more than $10,000 was raised nationally to fund the work.
