Folks who are Irish or Italian, or who just like to have a good time, gathered in the Hub City this weekend to celebrate the culture of Italy and the Emerald Isle. The annual Irish-Italian Festival Parade made its way down W. 4th Street Saturday morning.
It was led by a royal court, featuring Southern Miss president Dr. Rodney Bennett as king and Hattiesburg resident Carolyn Petro as queen. Forrest-Perry County District Attorney Patricia Burchell served as grand marshal.
