Please join us at the Italian American Museum this Tuesday evening, March 24th for a talk by Alfred M. Zappalà Esq. and Eszter Vajda. Mr. Zappalà will give us an update on "The Sicilian Project", speak about his latest book on Sicily, and introduce us to a television series that he created with journalist Eszter Vajda that focuses on the people of Sicily.
About "The Sicilian Project":
"The Sicilian Project" was founded by Alfred Zappalà in 2011 and its purpose is to bring English language classes to Sicilian students. Prior to the formation of "The Sicilian Project", the teaching of English in Sicily was nonexistent or vastly inferior to the teaching of English in other parts of Europe.
About "You, Me & Sicily!":
"You, Me & Sicily!" will take you on a journey and show you the real "points of light" in Sicily ... her heroic people!
"You, Me & Sicily!" is not a typical travel log diddy about Sicily. Far from it. Eszter and I are focusing on the people of Sicily (we call them "points of light") and their stories. These stories that will make you laugh. These stories that will make you cry. These stories that will evoke emotions about a magical place told through our eyes. We will be preparing Season One and have several medium outlets that will air them. Season 2 is now online. Eszter Vajda and Alfred Zappalà are the creators and Executive Producers. http://www.evazmediagroup.com
About "Sicily: Joy of My Heart":
"Sicily: Joy of My Heart" is the fourth book Alfred M. Zappalà has written on Sicily. If you enjoyed The Reverse Immigrant, Gaetano's Trunk or Figghiu Beddu, you will love this book. Join Alfred and his friends as he travels throughout Sicily painting a vivid picture of the Island's beauty and people. This book will grab you from the first page and your love for this magical place will grow by leaps and bounds!
