“L’America di Irene”: Paola Trappo’s Book on Emigration at the IIC-NYC

The stories of our Italian ancestors are all different, and all alike, all equally fascinating. The Italian Cultural Institute of New York presents L’America di Irene – Storia di una friulana di frontiera (Chiandetti Editore) by author Paola Trappo, a book about the incredible life of her aunt Irene, emigrated from her Northern Friuli to America.

An emblematic book representing the experience of many Italian families, based on a touching collection of letters, postcards, and photographs that Trappo, a journalist, elaborated into a book. The story of her aunt's bravery from Friuli to the US, September 9 at 6 pm.
