Mary Sue Lyons, member of the Vermont Italian Club, will present Italy's Friuli Venezia Giulia Region: Beautiful, Fascinating and Affordable! on September 14, 6:30 p.m. at Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Lyons will lead a slide show tour of her travels of the most northeast region of Italy that is bordered by Slovenia, Austria and the Adriatic Sea.
The Friuli Venezia Giulia region spans a wide variety of climates and beautiful landscapes and is known for its developed economy and being a key link to greater Europe. Its population is now a mix of Italian, Austrian and Slavic cultures.
