The Grand Lodge of Rhode Island Order Sons of Italy In America will present its Community Service Award to Laureen D'Ambra, associate justice of the Rhode Island Family Court.

The award is "for her many years of dedicated service to the children and families of Rhode Island not only as a judge but also as the former state child advocate and appellate counsel for the Department of Children, Youth and Families." The award will be presented at the Grand Lodge's annual Columbus Day Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the West Valley Inn in West Warwick.
