The St. Lawrence Society on Monday morning held its 37th annual raising of the Italian flag at Greenwich Town Hall. The society annually selects a person of Italian heritage who is outstanding in the community for their kindness, generosity, devotion and selfless service.
This year, the society honoree is the St. Lawrence Society President Tod Laudonia. Organizers say he is a devoted husband and father. The organization was founded 101 years ago by a group of Italian immigrants from Calabria. Today, there are 130 members and anyone from the community is invited to join.
