2014 Italian Fest parade committee announces food theme, opens applications

Float group applications are now being accepted for the 2014 Italian Fest Parade, to be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. in Uptown Collinsville. This annual tradition embodies the spirit of Italian Fest and wraps up the festival's activities with a bang.
This year's parade theme is "EAT UP, Italian Style!" What says "Italian dinner" to you? A pot of spaghetti? A bunch of tomatoes? Steaming lasagna? Decorate a float according to the theme for the best chance of winning the decorating competition.
