Mike Savino, a friend and a supporter of the Italian American community in Washington DC and beyond, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Mike was born on July 28, 1947, in Flumeri (Naples) Italy, to parents Rafael and Maria (née Cipriani). The family later emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where Mike lived until his early twenties.
