A beloved local event is returning to the Mile Square for 2024. St. Ann’s Italian Festival, an annual happening that features Italian eats (including the infamous zeppoles), music, kiddie rides, a beer garden, and more, is returning for its 114th year at 704 Jefferson Street in Hoboken. Hoboken has a thriving Italian population. Many who reside here descended from immigrants who came over from San Giacomo, a province of Salerno, Italy which was named after St. James the Apostle. A wave of immigrants came to Hoboken from Italy in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
