Last night North Plainfield Police Chief William G. Parenti was sworn in as the President of the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police. This event is another milestone in this Italian American family's legacy in law enforcement. Chief Parenti's father, retired Fanwood Police Chief Anthony Parenti also served as President of the Association.
Chief Parenti's son William Parenti Jr. also serves as a North Plainfield Police Officer and Chief Parenti's grandfather was a police officer in Italy. The Italian American Police Society of New Jersey is proud of Chief Parenti and his family's accomplishments and wish him well in his new leadership position. President William Schievella was honored to attend his swearing in ceremony in Atlantic City.
