I was a high school kid with immigrant parents who worked in a factory and still struggled with the English language back in Hartford, Connecticut when I started hearing about this guy named Mario Savio causing absolute chaos in a far-away place called Berkeley.
The infamous troublemaker with a name like mine was a student at a university no less. I was at a stage in my life where just getting into college was the highest ambition I could even have, and I thought to myself, "paesano, shouldn't you be thanking your lucky stars you got into college and concentrate on getting your work done instead starting all those riots.
