Coffee has been woven into the Italian culture dating back to the 17th century when the first “coffee bar” was established in Venice. Italian coffee culture is special, a culmination of traditions, customs, and history. Though different regions in Italy, coffee bars have their own slight variations on coffee making and bar culture, the fundamentals remain the same: espresso, a standing bar, and a wonderfully hectic, social atmosphere.

Today, this experience has been replicated at Convivio’s Caffè Caritàzza in Little Italy. On the grounds of Amici House stands the only non-profit coffee bar where community members experience the true experience of a wide variation of Italian-inspired coffees. Every purchase provides patrons of Caffè Caritàzza the opportunity to give back to the give back and feel good about supporting Convivio’s neighborhood arts, culture, and education initiatives.

Along with serving delicious espresso drinks or specialty teas, Caffè Caritàzza serves other great items such as specialty pastries, panini, burritos, sparkling water, and Italian sodas. Emphasizing stellar customer service, the outdoor coffee bar continually caters to its constituents, putting them first. After all, getting your cup o’ joe should be virtually effortless! And the treats for our furry friends at the Little Italy Dog Park. The Caffè is well placed to provide service to surrounding businesses, residents, and visitors to Amici Park along with treats for our furry friends at the Amici Dog Park.
