Carnevale Fantastico! is premiering this Spring in Vallejo, California. The two-day event combines the allurement of a jubilant renaissance faire with the cultural beauty of Italy. Avalon Themed Event's inaugural endeavor, Carnevale Fantastico! will be an experience where families can explore the origins of the Renaissance, learn historical crafts and cooking, and delight in Italian food and wine.

Avalon Themed Events has assembled a production team of seasoned, award winning actors, directors, musicians, historians, dancers, designers and artisans to build this magical event. Carnevale Fantastico! is a dramatic mix of environmental theater, craft demonstrations, exquisite stage performances, uniquely presented by a cast of world-class entertainers.

Including:
Gruppo Sbandieratori Sansepolcro - Italian Flag waiving team direct from Italy. The Sansepolcro Flag waivers , founded in 1953, has spread friendship and a love for Italian culture throughout the world. These  award winning athletes and performers have been featured at Disney's Epcot park and starred in the film "Under The Tuscan Sun."

Commedia Volante - California's premiere traditional Commedia dell'arte troupe. Founded almost 20 years ago, Commedia Volante has be dedicated to preservation of early Italian theater, and has been featured at several renaissance festivals, The Getty Center, television and as artistic ambassadors to South Korea, El Salvador, and Mexico.

Balzare! - Music and Dance of Napoli. A celebration of the music and dance of Southern Italy including Tarantellas, Morescas, Tammuriatas, and the Pizzicas.

Maurene Drew, half of the creative partnership of Avalon Themed events states, "Our vision is to create events which emphasize art and theatre first while staying true to the theme. " In terms of Carnevale specifically, "Italy was the birthplace of the Renaissance. We wish to celebrate this magnificent culture
which was, and still is brimming with colorful theatre, music, art, fashion and of course, incredible food and wine. " Dalia Vidor adds, "We want to highlight some of Vallejo's beautiful parks through sensational family friendly immersive theatrical events. Carnevale Fantastico! will transport visitors back to
Renaissance Italy, with a fun, educational and unique take on the traditional Renaissance festival."
