Join us on May 21st at the DIA's Detroit Film Theatre as we celebrate Italian cinema and the Italian film industry! Starting at 4:30 pm, two contemporary Italian films, will be screened in the context of the second edition of #FareCinema (Making Cinema), an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the aim of making Italian quality films known across the world.
Two guests will help us celebrate Italian cinema and better appreciate Italian filmmaking! Come and enjoy Duepiccoli italiani (Two Little Italians), a 2018 comedic road-movie by Paolo Sassanelli at 4:30 pm and for The Leisure Seeker, a 2017 drama set in the United States by Paolo Virzì at 7:00 pm. Between the two films, a conversation with Chiara Balestrazzi (screenwriter of Due piccoli italiani) and local writer Michael Zadoorian (author of the novel The Leisure Seeker) will take place.
This special Italian cinema event with FREE ADMISSION is presented by the Consulate of Italy in Detroit in collaboration with the Friends of the Detroit Film Theatre Auxiliary.
