Somerset native Greta Pontarelli now has 10 world titles for pole art after winning the Pole Art Italy World Championship. The 70-year-old athlete captivated the crowd with her original choreography for "The Alchemist." Pole art is an acrobatics routine that includes a pole. The athletes tell a story with their choreography.
"'The Alchemist' is a story of rebirth and transformation," Pontarelli said. "It is based on the archetype of the 'firebird' or 'phoenix.' It is a powerful muse that brings us the message to rise out of the ashes of the challenges of life and be victorious!
