Dear friends, tomorrow, October 1st, marks the beginning of Italian-American Heritage Month in New Jersey. This year, more than ever, I urge you to join myself and our fellow OSIA members in celebrating our Italian-American history.
In Fourteen Hundred and Ninety-Two Columbus Sailed The Ocean Blue. This is the rhyme I was taught in public school as a child to make sure that I didn't forget the contributions of Christopher Columbus. After all, I am an Italian-American because of Christopher Columbus. OSIA's continual focus on Columbus' significant contribution has revitalized my appreciation of Columbus since my childhood days. And now, as members of OSIA, it is our responsibility to do our part in ensuring that that this important part of our heritage isn't forgotten.
I hope to see you standing by my side throughout Italian-American Cultural Month in support of the following important, upcoming events:

Cooper River Park, Pennsauken, NJ
