Walking can be a way of life, but it is, above all, one of the easiest and most effective ways to understand the soul of a city, discover its secrets and savor its atmosphere: a “slow tourism” in other words, a more relaxed way of travelling and enjoying history and culture, which is at the same time freer and full of more surprises.
To find out which are the easiest cities to explore by walking, the website GuruWalk, which specializes in offering walking city tours, analyzed bookings and searches made on its platform over a one-year period between April 2023 and April 2024, comparing hundreds of destinations around the world.
