A long-running Italian-American festival is moving from Mercer County to Burlington County next month. The Burlington County Fairgrounds will host music groups headed by the Duprees, Italian dancing, an Italian car show, a puppet theatre, comedy, beer and wine garden, food and craft vendors, children's amusements and pony rides on Sept. 7-9.
And the winner of a three-day Super 50/50 raffle held during the Mercer County Italian American Festival could take home thousands of dollars. Last year's winning ticket netted $15,692. Event sponsor and organizer, the nonprofit Mercer County Italian American Association cited rising costs in the decision to move its annual festival after nearly 20 years in its home county.
