An Italian-based manufacturing company saw a vision in the Weirton area five years ago, and Thursday, the opening of the long-awaited project at the Half Moon Industrial Park in Weirton was celegrated.. Since 2018, Fanti USA has been working to open its first U.S. facility. BDC Executive Director of Development Jacob Keeney is excited for this new investment as delays have occurred due to COVID and material delays.
"The renovations have taken a long time, but we are just so excited to be here today, break the ribbon on this new investment,” Keeney said. “This is just not a new building. This is the rehabilitation of an existing 108,000 square foot building. It’s something that has been sitting idle for years and we are just very fortunate to be able to put it back to good economic use."
