Robert De Niro and More Help Broadway's Bronx Tale Musical Celebrate 100th Performance

The new Broadway musical A Bronx Tale celebrated its 100th performance on March 1. Under the direction of four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks and Oscar winner Robert De Niro, the show, written by Chazz Palminteri, is based on his acclaimed solo show and subsequent 1993 film of the same name.

A Bronx Tale is set against the backdrop of racial strife and organized crime in the 1960s as an Italian-American teenager must choose between the father who raised him and the mob-boss father figure who fascinates him. The production, which premiered in February at Paper Mill Playhouse, opened at Broadway's Longacre Theatre on December 1.
