E se fosse possibile avere a portata di mano tutta la storia degli italiani in America? Detto, fatto. Non si tratta del solito volume enciclopedico, ma di qualcosa di più affascinante e suggestivo. Un libro fotografico, che pagina dopo pagina, riesce a calarti nell'antica atmosfera degli anni in cui "L'america!", da miraggio diveniva realtà e speranza.
Presentato a New York nei giorni scorsi, presso l'Italian American Museum, un libro incredibilmente rappresentativo ed evocativo della storia migratoria degli italiani negli Stati Uniti, "Explorers Emigrants Citizens - A visual history of the italian american experience from the collections of the library of Congress".
