To celebrate Italian Heritage Month, NOIAW’s Long Island Network cordially invites you to a book presentation by Lou Del Bianco, author of Out of Rushmore’s Shadow. Using photographs and other primary source materials to illustrate the story, Lou documents his grandfather Luigi’s unsung contribution as chief carver on the Mount Rushmore memorial, and discusses the 25-year struggle to get his grandfather’s work recognized. Light refreshments will be served and books will be available for purchase.
