Mentre la metà del mese di presidenza italiana del Consiglio di Sicurezza ONU si avvicina, lo Stivale, la sua cultura e il suo inconfondibile stile di vita sono stati al centro della conferenza “Italics as a Global Commonwealth”, tenutasi al Palazzo di Vetro il 13 novembre.
La prestigiosa cornice delle Nazioni Unite ha dunque ospitato Piero Bassetti, autore del volume Lets’s Wake up Italics! Manifesto for a Glocal Future, nonché presidente di Globus et Locus, Associazione di Istituzioni che si prefigge di analizzare il rapporto tra “globale” e “locale”. Sono queste, in effetti, le due dimensioni – la cui cresi ha dato origine al termine “glocale” – al centro dell’attenzione di tutti i relatori, che ne hanno approfondito caratteristiche, conseguenze e legami reciproci.
