The Sons and Daughters of Italy, Ben V. Marconi Lodge 505 will sponsor a singing contest at the 2019 Stark County Italian American Festival at Weis Park, 2600 Harvard Ave. NW, Canton. The contest will take place at noon June 15 at the stage. The entire festival will run June 13-15. The contest is open to children and adults, and 15 contestants are being sought. Contestants are asked to sing an Italian song in English or Italian. Prizes will be given to first-, second- and third-place winners. Entrance fee is $10.

A pizza-eating contest also will take place at 2:30 p.m., after the singing contest. Participants also are sought for this and must be sign up no later than 1:30 p.m. June 15. Prizes will be given to first-, second- and third-place winners. Entrance fee is $10.
