Italian American Veterans Post 1 at 4567 Oberlin Ave. in Lorain, will be hosting its eighth Festa Italiana on Oct. 1. Entertainment will include Maria DiDonato and Hip to That, Joe Marotta, the Avanti Italian Band and Al Battistelli. Throughout the day there will be Italian food for sale, Italian bake goods, live music and raffles.

A recognition of the contributions of Italian Americans will be at 3 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. For sponsorship or event information, call Dina at 440-989-1178.
