Benld’s annual Italian-American Days began sixty-four years ago, and the festa (May 26-29) continues stronger than ever! Sponsored by the Italian Club of Benld, it provides four days of activities in the Benld City Park. Enjoy carnival rides, bingo, games, entertainment, a bocce tournament, and lots more.
Known throughout Illinois for its Italian food, the festa’s specialties include tortellini soup, homemade Italian salami, meatball sandwiches, bagna caulda, and spumoni. Sunday is the highlight of the weekend. (Be at the lunch stand 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for some tasty, homemade spaghetti served FREE to festival goers! They’ll have a TON of spaghetti available.)
