The Antonio Meucci Mainland Lodge of the Sons of Italy will honor one of its members Friday evening during a meeting and dinner at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish Hall in Northfield, when past president Joe Valenti is presented with the 'Man of the Year" award. He will receive the New Jersey Sons of Italy Man of the Year at a special dinner in his honor Oct. 26 in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Mainland SOI president, Dino Giacona of Northfield said, "October is Italian heritage month and a time where our organization likes to look at the accomplishments an Italian American has made. We are really very proud of everything that Joe has accomplished over the years. He was president of the club twice and has also served at the state level for the Sons of Italy."
