La Festa Italiana in Downtown Jersey City is in full swing after Holy Rosary church celebrated St. Rocco's Feast Day with a Mass and procession on Thursday afternoon. The procession through the streets around the church on Sixth Street was the second in two days. On Wednesday there was a Mass and procession for the Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption.
Parishioners and clergy weathered the heat and humidity today for the annual short trek. It is cooling off slightly for the second night of the annual festival, which runs from 5 to 11 p.m. each night through Sunday.
