The recently appointed Ambassador of Italy to the United States, Armando Varricchio was born in Venice, Italy, but completed his MA (summa cum laude) in International Relations at the prestigious University of Padua.

Appointed, on December 2013, with the highest ranking honor of "Grand Officer of the Order of merit of the Republic of Italy," Varricchio's achievements have also been recognized from various foreign countries.
