Bulgari to restore Rome's Largo Argentina site

Rome's archaeological site at Largo di Torre Argentina is to be restored in a project sponsored by luxury jeweller Bulgari, according to Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera. The restoration, estimated at €800,000, would take about 10 months, with a possible inauguration date in January 2020.

Central to the works is a new entry into the site, including elevator access, under the tower. There will be a new path around the archaeological area and a new LED lighting system to allow visits at night. The site will also have a new ticket office and bookshop with toilet facilities for visitors.
