Then a township officers banquet, an investment club, Italian Day at Ironworld and the Ely Blueberry Festival, followed by a bocce ball banquet, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mountain Iron, a Columbus Day celebration at the Elks and a pasta festival in Chisholm, the Eveleth Elks Does, the Democratic party in Mountain Iron, the Fayal Senior Citizens and at the Coates.
And the full schedule would continue for three decades more — St. Michael’s, the hospital auxiliary, B’nai Abraham Synagogue, Wilderness Golf Course at Giants Ridge, Rustic Rock, Holy Spirit Church and the Licari family reunion in Biwabik, all recorded in the history of the famed Iron Range Italian men’s group called I Cantatori, “the singers.”
