The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii will host its annual Mary and Christmas celebration on Dec. 7. Maestro Paul French will once again lead the incomparable William Ferris Chorale in a program of Christmas favorites. Musical echoes of Christmases past in Venice, Rome and Palermo, timeless yuletide melodies and selections from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will help ring in the holidays.
Joining the chorale as soloists will be harp virtuoso Lauren Hayes and baritones Anthony Rago and the Shrine’s own Rev. Richard Fragomeni. A pre-concert reception at 6 p.m. will feature an elegant buffet prepared by Piccolo Sogno. After the concert, guests are invited to attend a champagne and pastry reception.
