Some of the best bocce players in the country will be competing at the Highwood Bocce Club later this month when the club hosts the U.S. Bocce Federation National Championship Tournament. Paolo Giannetti, chairman of the Highwood Bocce Club, said about 100 players from across the country will be coming to Highwood for the five-day event from June 20 through June 24.
A U.S. Bocce Federation Open Medal Tournament and a Highwood Bocce Club Open Tournament with cash prizes will take place during the first two days. Starting June 22, singles players will be competing using the U.S. Bocce Federation Punto Raffa Volo Tournament rules and standards.
