The San Diego Italian Film Festival announced Monday that it will host a Q&A session with Leonardo D’Agostini, director of the award-winning film “Il Campione.” The Q&A, which is a part of the organization’s series of online programs, will take place Sunday. Film Festival ticket holders can watch the film beginning Thursday.
The film tells the story of Christian Ferro, a soccer player turned celebrity who begins to see his sports career jeopardized. He’s given a tutor, Valerio, when sparks fly between the duo. “Leonardo D’Agostini’s debut is an intelligent comedy that goes behind the scenes of one of the best-loved football clubs and will delight everybody,” Film Festival organizers said.
