On Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, the 22^nd annual Newport Beach Film Festival will present its Italian Spotlight, an evening celebration of Italian cinema and culture. The event will screen the US Premiere of the Italian feature film When Mom is Away…With the Family (‘10 GIORNI CON BABBO NATALE’), followed by a festive post-screening celebration.

Since Guilia has started working again, Carlo is starting to find the role of “Mr. Mom” a bit tight fitting. Just when he decides to get back into the job market, Guilia reveals she is up for a position that would lead to a move to Sweden and requires her to take an interview on December 24th in Stockholm. Things do not go as planned and everything seems to threaten family unity. When Mom is Away…With the Family (‘10 GIORNI CON BABBO NATALE’) is directed by Alessandro Genovesi and stars Fabio de Luigi, Valentina Lodovini, and Diego Abatantuono.

The Spotlight film, When Mom is Away…With the Family (‘10 GIORNI CON BABBO NATALE’) will screen on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. at The Triangle Starlight Cinemas (1870 Harbor Boulevard, Costa Mesa, CA 92627). The post-screening celebration will take place at 10:00 p.m. at Time Nightclub (1875 Newport Blvd B245 Costa Mesa, CA 92627), and will include select tastings from top Orange County restaurants, traditional entertainment as well as multiple DJs and a hosted bar by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Peroni Beer.

The Newport Beach Film Festival Italian Spotlight is in collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Cultura – Los Angeles and supported by the Consulate General of Italy – Los Angeles, Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West, Catalino Law, and DelGrosso Foods.
