Saturday, November 27, 2021. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM and the tree will be lit at 5:30 PM at Ciccarone Park at the intersection of East 188th Street and Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. The Belmont BID’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will be open to the public, featuring festive entertainment including carolers, an appearance by Santa Claus, hot chocolate, Italian cookies, and much more.
In addition, during the ceremony, the BID will co-host a toy giveaway for local families in the neighborhood with Love Holds Life Children’s Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to support kids and their families fighting cancer by providing monetary aid for medical expenses not covered by insurance.
Brief remarks will be made, followed by the official lighting at 5:30 PM and festive photo ops.
Little Italy in the Bronx features NYC’s best, authentic Italian restaurants, butchers, bakers, fish markets, delis, pastry shops, artisan shops and specialty stores. Local businesses are often owned and operated by the same families that founded them nearly a century ago.
