Vietnam War veteran Frank Andreotti Jr. has been named grand marshal for Milford’s Veterans Day parade on Monday. “Tickled pink, to be honest with you,” Andreotti said, in reaction to being chosen. “I really am. It’s truly an honor.” Andreotti, a St. Mary’s High School graduate, performed the Bells of Peace tolling at last year’s Veterans Day parade.
The Army veteran is active in several military service organizations, including the Milford Veterans of Foreign Wars, and serves as chaplain for the Milford branch of the Disabled American Veterans. “I’m really excited,” Andreotti said. Monday’s parade steps off at 10 a.m., next to the IHOP at 17 Medway Road (Rte. 109).
