The Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere presents
"A Trip to Operatic Italy" with Lou Barrella
Tuesday, May 26, 2015 @ 7:00 PM
During the summer of 2009, Lou made a long awaited trip to Italy. In addition to visiting some main cities, he went to the places important in the lives of Giuseppe Verdi (Busseto, LeRoncole, Sant Agata and Milano) and Giacomo Puccini (Torre del Lago, Lucca and Viareggio), as well as the Teatri dell'Aperto in Verona, at Torre del Lago and at the Baths of Caracalla.
This presentation is a pictorial souvenir of that trip accompanied by the operatic music of great composers. It is not just a typical "travelog" but a marriage of pictures and appropriate music for each beautiful location. Sharing this experience should bring back wonderful memories for those who already have been to these places and a yearning to visit them for all those who desire to travel there. Buon viaggio a tutti!
