Our friends at The Florentine (Florence's English language news magazine) have announced their plans to publish a bilingual literary review featuring short stories, poems, and illustrations by contemporary Italian writers and artists. The first issue of TheFLR (The Florence Literary Review) will be released in October 2016.

The goal of the project is to promote the spread of Italian culture around the world by increasing access to its literature. TheFLR will publish all its content in Italian with side by side English translations. The review's publishers expect it to be essential to professors teaching contemporary Italian literature in translation.
