Sue them. The only way is for concerned citizens of to sue the Mayor, the Agitators, the Vandals and any Company involved. Take Them To Court, the Decision makers and the Vandals to Protect the Bullying of Italian Heritage in Monuments and the Holiday. Vandalizing or Removing Heritage Statues is, for the vast majority of Americans of Italian Heritage, Cultural Bullying. Time to act and continue to do so.
Take Them To Court to Protect the Bullying of Italian Heritage in Monuments and the Holiday. Take them to court for their bullying. Decisions were made in the past intended to honor Italian heritage. Records exist. Find them, document, make the arguments. Some agreements requires that the statues remain in perpetuity, others provide for maintenance.
Sue them to protect Italian Heritage Monuments and the Holiday. Like minded Americans need to stand up, pitch in, fund legal action. Give what you can afford. Form a steering group, raise the money, act in prompt legal filings as soon as or before issues arise whether statues or the holiday. Stay informed and connected.
Voice your opinion. But the real force is legal action. Petitions and letters and calls are good, but often fizzle out and are ignored. That goes for statues of Columbus and the Columbus Day Holiday.
Let the courts nationwide issue orders to these elected and non-elected persons wherever they may be. The court orders can address grievances regarding arbitrary actions, reverse prior actions, prevent the site from being used for other purposes or statues, and to ensure that settlements pay tribute to our heritage. There were good intentions and reasons for these monuments. We can prove that these acts of removal or erasure are capricious and discriminatory.
Take them to court.
