About the Author
Retired Air Force Colonel J. C. Liburdi is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; he now resides near Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the son of an Italian immigrant; the family's roots are in the province of Frosinone, just south of Rome. Liburdi holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, and his military specialty was telecommunications/information systems. He served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces for forty years, first in the Navy and then the Air Force. He spent twenty-nine years overseas, fourteen of them in Italy. He also served as the U.S. Chief of Security Assistance to Italy for three years. Upon retiring, Liburdi took up freelance writing, primarily for Senior Wire News Service. His articles are regularly featured in senior oriented periodicals throughout America. Liburdi has written two other books: "Flying Start" and "Naturally Aged Nostalgia"
