In "Italian-American Fusion: Italy's Influence on the Evolution of America" (published by Lulu Press), author J. C. Liburdi takes readers through a full spectrum of Italian and Italian-American contributions toward the establishment and evolution of these United States.

Written from the perspective of one who was a member of an Italian-American family and who lived in Italy for many years, this book offers fascinating insights into the tremendous influence Italy has had and continues to have on American society. The book is great fun to read, and it's obvious that the author's main intent was to stimulate and reinforce Italian-American pride.

An excerpt from the book:

"Actually, one has to wonder if there might be some genetic factors that make Italian-Americans so great. They're fine-looking people, tremendously creative, incredibly innovative, and passionate about everything. They're also experts at living life to the fullest—not continuously focused on pleasure, but always ready to enjoy the pleasurable things in life. And at the right times, they've got a certain seriousness and determination that allow them to achieve success in whatever they set out to do. Above all, they have great character and walk with dignity."

Italian Count Camillo Benso di Cavour once said, "The primary wealth of a nation is its dignity." In that vein, Italians have done so much to elevate the dignity of our country and the well-being of its populace. Few people are fully aware of the Italian investment in terms of physical energy, intellectual power and patriotic bloodshed. A lot of that is reflected in the pages of this book.
