The American Foundation of Savoy Orders (Savoy Foundation) today announced record setting grants of $360,000 to support children’s welfare causes, elder care, university scholarships, education programs and church support for essential community services during the unprecedented COVID-19 health and economic crisis.
Savoy Foundation Chairman of the Board Carl J. Morelli and President Joseph Sciame in a joint statement said: “This crisis has placed increased burdens on our college students, homeless families struggling to feed their children, on inner-city families struggling to find substitutes for summer camp programs for their children, on elderly care institutions and churches whose financial resources funding community-based, essential services have been impacted because of closed facilities instigated by the pandemic.”
