We call it "Settimana Bianca" –the White Week- and we mean a week-long holiday featuring winter sports. The choice for a snow filled skiing holiday in Italy is incredibly vast. We'll mention just a few of the most famous places from which you can choose: Cortina d'Ampezzo with as many as 72 miles of beautiful powdery slopes and 43 miles of cross-country ski tracks; Cervinia with 64 mi of slopes; Livigno with 72 mi of descents and 24 mi of cross-country ski tracks; Courmayeur Mont Blanc with 62 mi of descents; Funivie Madonna di Campiglio with 37 mi of descents.

You can also ski near Rome on Monte Terminillo or in the Sila plateau of Calabria. If you enjoy skiing on the edge, try the slopes of the active volcano of Mount Etna in Sicily! Here are some pictures to help you choose your next destination for an unforgettable settimana bianca. Have fun and stay warm.
