An agreement has been signed between Enit and Trenitalia to enhance the country's tourist attractions and promote Italian localities through Intercity travel. People will be able to travel in a train filmed with eight postcards representing artistic beauties and natural landscapes that can be reached by the sustainable means of transport par excellence.
The National Tourism Agency and Trenitalia are thus bringing tastes of the Bel Paese on board Intercity trains that are also appreciated by tourists from abroad, with 124 connections per day, between Day and Night, and more than 75 new stops for the summer of 2022, in addition to Trenitalia's Frecce and Regional trains.
To boost the travel experience across the Peninsula, an area in coach 3 with 24 seats, stroller area, nursery inside a spacious bathroom, themed tables with games for the little ones, vending machine and stand up area has been dedicated to families. Added to this is the "free kids" promotion, which provides for every paying adult a free kid up to 15 years of age.
It is another step toward integrating rail and promoting countless destinations and artistic beauty within walking distance of the stations served. More than five million customers will have traveled on Intercity by the end of the summer, and popular destinations include the Ligurian Riviera and Versilia, Sicily and the entire Adriatic Riviera.
