"Natural Resistance" returns its director, Jonathan Nossiter, to the subject of his 2005 documentary, "Mondovino." That film examined the effects of globalization on the wine industry, a business that might seem like a haven of elitism and individuality — hardly a trade susceptible to homogenization.
Not so, that globe-trotting movie showed, and so, too, does this low-key companion piece, which confines itself to Italy. Mr. Nossiter once again argues in favor of artisanal winemaking and terroir, defined in this film as the intersection of place and taste.
